Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

In CBT, my role is that of an expert, a guide, and a mentor who assists you to become aware of faulty thought patterns, negative interpretations, and the behavioural patterns that are reinforcing your distorted thinking. I will assist you in learning how to identify distorted cognitions and then help you to decide on suitable changes to resolve the problem.

Modern Hypnotherapy (Erickson Hypnotherapy)

I use Modern Hypnotherapy within my sister practice, Gold Coast Clinical Hypnotherapy practice. Modern Hypnotherapy differs from the older, more traditional model of hypnotherapy by being tailored specifically to you ’the client’, and hence tends to have better outcomes.

Modern Hypnotherapy is used in the Therapeutic space and releases control to you (as the client), empowering you to choose to go into a trance, and once in trance to make the changes you choose to make in your life. In contrast to Traditional Hypnotherapy where the practitioner is in control, the Hypnotherapist within Modern Hypnotherapy is just the guide

Strategic Psychotherapy

I use Strategic Psychotherapy within my sister practice, Gold Coast Clinical Hypnotherapy. The goal of Strategic Psychotherapy within my practice is to promote a desirable change within you. From a dysfunctional balance (the balance of the problem), you get to identify and construct a new, more appropriate balance of the solution. It all starts with your instinctive reactions to the reality you perceive.

Solution Focused Therapy

Solution focused therapy supports you through identifying your goals and your strengths. These goals and strengths are the only agents of change used within the approach. In solution-focused therapy, I assume you are competent and have the ability to find solutions for your problems – that you have simply lost direction or awareness.
